In this article i spoke on the changes to the superannuation system that are set to come into effect from July 1. Whilst the broader effect of these changes have been examined time and time again, very little coverage has been given to how these changes will impact on the trust deeds of thousands and thousands of SMSF's. I spoke with several professionals to get their views on whether these changes mean SMSF's are still a highly effective tax structure or if other options need to be considered.
