In this article, I interview mortgage broker Alex Woo and discuss the various factors affecting people who are over the age of 50 and wishing to borrow money from banks to purchase or refinance. It was interesting to discover that there are separate rules for those under the age of 50 and for those over. Banks are very cautious when lending to the 50+ age bracket as they are required to follow 'responsible lending' laws.
