I joined James and the team at FinancialAdvisor.com.au in early 2025 as an intern and I’ve quickly found myself right at home. While I’m still completing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at university, which I’ll finish in early 2026, I’m already deeply involved in supporting our client’s needs. Once I graduate, my plan is to continue studying financial planning so I can work towards becoming a Certified Financial Planner.

Most of my role revolves around preparing ongoing financial review reports, supporting the investment process, conducting research, and helping clients with their queries. I enjoy the problem-solving side of the job and the chance to build meaningful professional relationships along the way. Finance has always been a passion of mine, whether through personal trading and studying markets or now in the professional setting of financial planning. What drives me is building a career where I can use my passion for finance to make a real difference in people’s lives.

One of the things I value most about working here is the team itself. We’ve built a culture of great chemistry, clear focus, and a shared commitment to doing right by our clients which makes the work all the more rewarding.

Away from the office, I’m a big sports fan with my favourites being AFL, Formula 1, and mixed martial arts. When the game is over and I get off the couch I am then able to focus on my own physical fitness which is a necessity of mine. I enjoy lifting weights at the gym and going on runs with Douglas (my 1 year old cocker spaniel). I also love to travel (just need to stockpile more annual leave before the next trip), and I’m always up for a beer and a laugh with some mates (good for the mental).
