I have worked in financial advice for more than 20 years and recently moved into the role of Head of Investment Research at FinancialAdvisor.com.au. After two decades of helping clients directly, I now focus on the bigger picture.researching markets, analysing trends, and ensuring our strategies are grounded in quality data and long-term thinking.

Before becoming a financial adviser, I spent several years as a school teacher. That background taught me the value of patience, clarity, and communication, skills that have served me well in explaining complex financial concepts in a way that makes sense. I’ve always believed that good advice should educate as well as guide.

I live on Sydney’s Upper North Shore with my wife, and I’m lucky enough to be a father and grandfather. Outside of work, I’m an avid fisherman and golfer, and I find both help me unwind and keep perspective. I’ve never lost my love of learning or curiosity about how things work—whether that’s markets, people, or life itself.

At its core, my approach is simple: understand people, do the research properly, and focus on what really matters. That’s how you make smart decisions and build trust that lasts.
